1. Business Policy
1.1. The "Vendor" MLV Portuguese Shoes (Manuel Lima Vieira, Lda) offers products for sale on the website www.mlvshoes.com, and its e-commerce business services are available exclusively to its end users / "Consumers".
1.2. "Consumer" means any individual who is acting on his behalf for purposes which are outside his/her business or profession. If you are not a "Consumer", we ask that you do not buy any products on the website www.mlvshoes.com.
1.3. MLV Portuguese Shoes reserves the right not to process orders received from users who are not "Consumers" or any other which does not comply with the General Terms and Conditions of Sale of the "Vender" MLV Portuguese Shoes (Manuel Lima Vieira, Lda).
1.4. The "Consumer" must provide the "Vender" with a valid and accurate e-mail address, and other contact details, and accept that the "Vender" may use these details to contact him/her, if deemed necessary .
2. How to Order
2.1. The “Consumer” needs na e-mail account to place na order at www.mlvshoes.com and set the browser to accept cookies and pop-ups, in order to allow you full use of the website.
2.2. You can easily place na order at the MLV Shoes website:

2.2.2. Add the product to the cart;
2.2.3. Proceed to checkout;
2.2.4. Select your payment option;
2.2.5. Confirm that information is correct (product and data);
2.2.6. Proceed to payment and submit your the order;
2.2.7. You will receive an email notification, with your order confirmation receipt.
2.2.8. Your order is considered submitted when you select the “Confirm Payment” (Checkout) button at the end of the purchase process.
2.3. When MLV Shoes receives your order, a message will appear on the screen with your order number and the details of your purchase. The purchase agreement is now comcluded.
A copy of the order confirmation will be sent to the email you provided. We recomend that you print it or download this copy for future reference.
MLV Shoes reserves the right not to accept your order or to cancel it even after the order is automatically submitted.
By submitting an order form, you are accepting these General Terms and Conditions of Sale, as well as further conditions at www.mlvshoes.com, also through links, including the Conditions, and Terms & Conditions.
The Vendor may not process orders when there are not sufficient guarantees of solvency, when orders are incomplete or incorrect, or the products are no longer available. In the above cases, we will inform you by e-mail that the sales contract has not been concluded and that the "Vender" will not proceed with the sale, specifying the reasons thereof.
If the products displayed on the online store (www.mlvshoes.com) are no longer available at the time of your last access or when the "Vender" has received your order, the "Vender" must inform you of the unavailability of ordered products within 30 days from the day after the “Vendor” has received your order.
If an order has been placed and the products are no longer available, the "Vender" will refund the amount paid by the "consumer" for the unavailable items.
2.4. Our right to not accept your order or cancel your purchase.
MLV Shoes reserves the right to refuse any order for whatever reason. We also reserve the right to cancel any purchase (even if it has already been accepted by us), in the following situations (amongst others), without being liable for any damage or costs:
• Product is no longer available / in stock (payments will be refunded);
• The billing information is not valid, is incorrect or not verifiable;
• The order is flagged up by our Security Systems as an unusual order or an order susceptible to fraud;
• The bank transfer payment is not received by us in a period considered reasonable for acceptance of your order;
• If we suspect that you are under 16 years of age;
• If we suspect you are a reseller;
• If it is not possible to deliver to the address provided by you.
2.5. Data verification
After receiving your order, we may run some checks on it before preparing it.
These checks can include address verification, credibility and fraud verification. These checks regard fraud verification, we run partially automated checks on all orders to filter out unusual or suspicious transations,or transactions which can be identified as susceptible to fraud. Suspected fraud will be investigated and if necessary prosecuted. By confirming your order, you agree to these conditions.
3. Guarantees and Product Price Indication
3.1. Payment methods
You can find the available payment methods in the FAQ’s section of the MLV webstore (www.mlvshoes.com). We do not accept any other payment method other than those mentioned.
Please do not try to pay by any other way than specified. If you do, we cannot be held responsible for loss of payment or any other damages that may result from this action.
4. Order Security
4.1. The webstore www.mlvshoes.com uses one of the most robust security technology available amongst encryption platforms.
Your payment information will be encrypted from the moment you enter, until your transaction is processed and will not be saved on a public server. Although we use encryption software, the security of information and payments transmitted over the Internet or via e-mail cannot be guaranteed. MLV cannot not be liable for any damages suffered as a result of the use of electronic means of communication including, but not limited to, damages resulting from failure or delay in delivery of electronic communications, interception or manipulation of electronic communications by third parties or by computer programs used for electronic communications and transmission of viruses.
5. Retention of title
MLV Shoes retains title in the products until we have received full payment for all such products.
6.1. The product prices displayed on the website include Portugal's Added Value Tax (VAT). Shipping rates are applied per order. Information regarding shipping fees can be found in the FAQ's section of the webstore.
6.2. Prices are all quoted in euros (€), please note that changing your country/market of delivery directly affects the price of the items, as well as transport costs.
6.3. Your total price.
The total price specified in the final checkout screen includes taxes and shipping costs (depending on the destination country, these fees may be supported by MLV Shoes). Prices are quoted in yor order confirmation receipt, which you can print or download for future reference. Please pay only the exact amount specified on the order confirmation and make individual payments per order.
6.4. Price changes.
The product prices displayed on the website are subject to change. MLV Shoes reserves the right to change prices without notice. The prices displayed at the moment of purchase are the prices applied to that purchase.
6.5. Price errors.
Please note that even though the website is updated with extreme care, it is possible that the pricing information on our website may contain errors. MLV Shoes is not bound by our offer and reserves the right to cancel your order, in the event of such error.
7. Quality and Guarantee
MLV Shoes does not sell second-hand products, products that are defective or products of inferior quality than the corresponding market standards. The main characteristics of each product are shown on www.mlvshoes.com, in each product page.
The images of the products offered for sale on the online store may not correspond exactly to the real products in terms of image and colors, due to the Internet browser and monitor used.
If you decide to exercise the right to return purchased products, MLV Portuguese Shoes (Manuel Lima Vieira, Lda) has the right not to accept products that are returned altered from their original state or damaged.
8. Shipping & Delivery
8.1. Where and when do we deliver.
We deliver products from Monday to Friday. We do not ship on holidays.
We can only fulfill an order to a delivery address if it is a home or workplace address, located in one of the countries listed in the FAQ’s section.
To receive the order, you must ensure that someone is at the address on the delivery day. The tracking link is provided with your order.
If the carrier has pick-up points in the order destination address, the order may proceed to a pick-up point in case where the courier is not able to deliver the order, due to lack of information or to a person´s absence.
We do not guarantee normal deadlines for all processes inherent to shipments and deliveries during periods of promotions, sales, Christmas, Black Friday or others.
A delivery is considered completed or a product is considered delivered with the recipient's signature on the delivery receipt.
8.2. Delivery times.
If you submit your order on a business day before 1:00pm, and proceed with payment by Credit Card or Paypal, your order will be sent on the next business day.
The "Vendor" will not be responsible for non-compliance, or delays in the fulfillment of any obligation that is due to an event of Force Majeure (this includes any event, act or omission outside the reasonable control of the "Vendor").
We will try to deliver on time, to the extent this is commercially reasonable. As a rule, we usually make it, however, we cannot guarantee timely delivery.
8.3. Partial deliveries.
Whenever possible, we try to deliver in one single shipment. However, we reserve the right to split the delivery of your order, for example (but not limited to) if part of your order is delayed or unavailable. In the event that we proceed with the split of your order, we will notify you by email of our intention to proceed in this way, at the email address provided by you at the moment of purchase.
8.4. Inspection upon delivery.
Upon delivery, the customer must inspect the packaging for damage. If the products appear to be damaged, do not accept the delivery of the order and it will be returned. MLV Shoes will refund the purchase price and all shipping costsas soon as the warehouse receives and completes your return.
Any complaint of a no receiption of an order must be made within a maximum of 15 days from the date the order was placed. At the end of this period, MLV Shoes will not be held responsible for its loss.
9. Shipping Rates.
9.1. Shipping rates are applied per order. The exact shipping rate depends on the country of delivery. For more details on the shipping rates per country, please consult the FAQ’s section.
10. Returns & Cancellations
10.1. Order cancellation before shipping
The customer may cancel any order, as long as it has not yet been shipped. For further information, please contact customer support:

10.2. Return of defective product
The customer has the right to return the delivered product in the event that they are defective or otherwise not in conformity wih your order. If the product has not been used, the return can be made within 30 days after receiving the order.
If your return is authorized, the price actually paid for the product will be refunded. For more information on how to return and refund information, please consult the FAQ’s.
10.3. Returning products due to withdrawal
If for any reason, you are not satisfied with the products you ordered, you may return them within 30 calendar days after delivery, provided that:
• The products have not been washed or used in any way (unless the product contains information to the contrary, the customer has the right to try on shoes to test the size and shape, but cannot use them);
• The product maintains its original characteristics and the packaging is not damaged (a carefully opened package will not be considered damaged);
• The product is complete (ex. both items in a pair have to be returned);
You cannot return:
• Products that have been tampered with.
10.4. Returning gifts
Currently, it is not possible for the person who received a product as a gift to return it. In this case, you must contact the person who bought the gift in order for him/her to proceed with the return.
10.5. Exchange of products or sizes
In order to keep our stocks always up to date and to minimize logistical errors, exchanges are not allowed. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you should make a return and place a new purchase if you wish to do so.
10.6. Refund information
After receiving the return at our warehouse and our quality control team evaluates the products, the customer will be refunded for the full amount paid for the order, excluding shipping, if they have been charged. The return will be made through the same payment method that was used for the purchase.

12. Conditions applicable to promotional codes (Promocodes)
12.1. When used according to the established terms, a promotion code entitles the user to one-time promotion / discount relating to the purchase of a specific product or set of products, during the period indicated / associated with the promotional code / campaign.
12.2. Promotional codes can be used for online purchases made on the brand's official website. The sale, exchange or donation of a promotional code is not permitted. The customer with the promotional code cannot upload or make available a promotional code on any website or through any other public offer, give away, sale or exchange. The use of promotional codes for commercial purposes is not permitted.
12.3. The promotion code is connected with the MLV Shoes (MLV, LDA) brand. The use of the promotional code in connection with any other brand, company or name is not permitted. It is also not permited to use the promotional code in any unlawful, abusive or disrespectful manner or in any other way that could damage MLV Portuguese Shoes (Manuel Lima Vieira, Lda) reputaion.
12.4. The use of the promotional code is subject to only one use per product and per order. Promotional codes cannot be combined with any other promotions or special offers.
12.5. Promotional codes are not exchangeable for money.
12.6. MLV Shoes has no obligation to re-issue or refund promotional codes.
12.7. Without prejudice to any other rights, MLV Shoes may have/has the right to immediately invalidate the promotional code. In the event that MLV Shoes has reason to suspect that a promotional code is being used in violation of the above, by usurpation, misuse or in the event MLV Shoes has other reasons to do so.
Fulfillment of all orders placed on the website is subject to availability. MLV Shoes tries to ensure that all items offered for sale are in stock. However, MLV Shoes reserves the right not to accept any orders or to cancel confirmed orders for products that are out of stock. In these cases, MLV Shoes will inform the customer by email and any payments will be refunded.
14. Offer Validity
The offers on the website are valid only for the moment that they are displayed on the website, unless otherwise specified on the website. MLV Shoes is not bound by any offer in the event of spelling, pricing or other errors or mistakes in the website information. MLV Shoes reserves the right to cancel any purchase and sale concluded in the event of such error.
15.1. MLV Shoes will only be liable for damages suffered by customers in the event that such damages result from attributable breach by MLV Shoes of itscontractual obligations towards the customer, or in the event that MLV Shoes liability follows from the applicable statutory law.
15.2. If the customer has suffered damage relating to the activity of the website, MLV Shoes liability will be limited to:
• Damage to MLV Shoes products or other materials;
• Reasonable and verifiable costs incurred by the customer to find out the cause and the amount of compensation attributable to the damage;
• The maximum refund of the above damages (if applicable) will be the purchase price of the products in question.
15.3. MLV Shoes cannot be held responsible for damages incurred by a third party resulting from the use of any of our products. MLV Shoes cannot be held responsible for damages incurred by the customer as a result of improper use of our products.
15.4. MLV Shoes is not responsible for damages as a result of incorrect information on the website.
15.5. In the event that the customer suffers damages as a result of gross negligence or willful misconduct on the part of MLV Shoes, none of the limitations contained in this article apply.
16. Applicable law
The present general conditions and all emerging disputes in connection with these general conditions, including their validity, the use of the website or with any purchase on it must be governed by Portuguese law.
17. MLV Shoes Amendment of Terms & Conditions
MLV Shoes has the right to revise and amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. The customer is subject to the Policies and Terms in force at the date of their order, unless the law or a competent authority imposes any changes to them.
18. Information on the website
Although MLV Shoes has composed its website with great care, the information, texts, graphics, documents, films, music and/or other services may contain errors or be incomplete or incorrect. MLV Shoes cannot be held responsible for any damages resulting from the use(or inability to use) the website, including damages caused by viruses or any inaccuracy or imcompleteness of the information, unless such damage is the result of any willful misconduct or from negligence on the part of MLV Shoes.
19. Trademarks and copyright on the website
The name MLV Portuguese Shoes is a registered trademark. The user/client of the site is not authorized to use or reproduce the brand, as this constitutes a violation of the owners rights.
Everything regarding the design, texts, documents, films, music and/or other services on the website, the selection and organization of the website, and all other materials on the website are the property of MLV Shoes. Users/customers are only authorized to electronically copy and print portions of the website to the extent this is necessary to place an order with us, or for using the website as a shopping resource.
Users/customers are not authorized to make any other use of the website or the information and materials contained therein, including reproduction for purposes other than those mentioned above, modification, distribution or republication. If the user/customer wishes to use information or materials from the website, they need to obtain prior written consent from MLV Shoes.
20. Gift Card General Conditions
After purchasing or issuing a Gift Card, it cannot be converted into cash and cannot be refunded by any other type of payment (wire transfer, VISA/MASTERCARD or Paypal).
A Gift Card can be used for purchases above or below your balance. If the value of your purchase is higher, you will be asked to pay the remaining amount. If the value of your purchase is lower, your Gift Card code keeps the excess amount in balance. Your Gift Card can be used as long as it has a balance.
For orders placed with 2 or more items, the gift card is applied proportionally to each item in the order.
You can use more than one Gift Card in the same order.
Gift Card acquisition cannot be combined with campaigns, discounts or promotions.
